25 Days of Etsy Christmas Gifts. Day Seventeen: The Prairies

today we will look at ten etsy shops based in the canadian prairies. i scoured two-hundred-and-fifty pages of shops from alberta, the same from saskatchewan and, again, from manitoba. these were my favourites, based on a preset criteria list that includes originality, product variety, feedback score, christmas gift potential (of course), photo quality and so on...

1. from edmonton, alberta, i like soul sister soaps. with fresh, fun beauty products you almost want to sink your teeth into, this shop is definitely one to check out for your holiday list. 

2. two penny jewelry, a shop in calgary, alberta offers up that balance a sought-after balance between simple jewelry that also makes a statement. 

3. from darth vader riding a bicycle to a samurai owl, engram clothing, also from calgary, alberta, offer great threads for the geek on your list. 

4.  heading over to regina, saskatchewan, i'm really digging stepcat's selection of awesome knits. the shop's tagline reads "accessories for the rad" and, from what i can see, they are upholding this. 

5. also from regina, hello gorgeous! is another shop to check out for bath and beauty products, especially if you have someone on your list that likes pinup culture and retro aesthetics. check out their adorable packaging and original scent choices. 

6. and now to lafleche, saskatchewan, for organikx, a great shop loaded with over two-hundred gift ideas. given how varied their products are, you've got  a good chance of finding presents for more than one person on your list!

7. simple, stylish and bright, emen gee designs, a shop from winnipeg, manitoba, makes me miss being in the country during the spring months. i'm sure any gift ordered from their shop will make the lucky recipient on your list feel the same way!

8. also from winnipeg, endeavors studio & workshop is another shop i think you should take time to browse through. i'm seeing impeccable craftsmanship and original gift ideas, a perfect combination for this list.

9. duval tea, another shop in winnipeg, makes my mouth water. if you're canadian or, better yet, from winnipeg, why not make the tea lover on your list happy by ordering something from this gorgeous shop?

10. we end this list with a fourth shop based in winnipeg, manitoba. i love babbs boutique's style and i'm willing to bet someone on your list will too!

when you can, try to support your local businesses or, if nobody in your town has what you're looking for, try to buy from artisans and/or small businesses, folks! after all, that's what this list is all about!
