Vintage Montreal

If you're interested in Montreal history and would like to see a whole slew of vintage photographs taken in this city, check out the facebook page I've created for this purpose.

Later on today I'll be posting this photo of Jackie O. at Expo '67.

Montreal Then and Now

Feeling that the vintage photos of Montreal were breaking the flow of this blog and knowing that I'm going to want to post such photos on a regular basis, I've decided to start a separate blog just for that purpose. Check it out: http://montrealthenandnow.blogspot.com/

Vintage Montreal: 01

anyone who knows me knows that i'm a self-proclaimed history nerd and, specifically, a montreal history buff. i feel that my blog is missing... montreal meat, if you will. this month's fashion week left me feeling disinterested and even annoyed with local designers and their lack of originality and so i'm looking to beef this up in other ways. i'll soon start posting photos of random montrealers with style, i've begun style profiles on locals and i have begun to put together a few pieces on local establishments.

i've decided to start posting photos that i've uploaded to my montreal tumblr over here. after about twenty of these, i'll see what the response is like. if it's lukewarm, i'll stop and, if the photos generate enough attention to deter from the rest of this blog, i'll set up another blogspot account just for that.

and so, without further ado:

Another One Of My Tumblrs: Photos of Montreal, Then and Now

i really want to set aside more time to write about montreal but, in the meantime and for the last year or so, i've been posting photos of la metropole on one of my tumblr accounts. i must admit that the photos are so far all from "then" as opposed to "now" but i cover interesting themes and feedback has been quite positive thus far. check it out!
