25 Days of Etsy Christmas. Day Twelve: Star Trek-Inspired Presents

this list came about accidentally. i was doing research for a sci-fi list and came across so many awesome star trek-inspired items that this just had to happen. here are ten of my favourites: 

1. i have loved glitter mortis ever since the shop opened and, before i had decided that i really should pursue my dream career in fashion, i had my eye on the goods in this etsy for the shop i had been planning on opening. take a moment to check them out and you'll see why. for this list, a spock glitter print at $40 USD. 

2. check out this set of 4 star trek insignia wine glasses. they're going for $30 USD at desolation allie.

3. a great stocking stuffer is this engage key chain. it's only $13 USD at stampin off the path.

4. i really like this enterprise-inspired mobile. you can order it for $75 USD from rays scraps. check out this shop for more original, handcrafted gift items!

5. for something subtle and classic, i like this tungsten carbide laser ring. $49 USD at custom tungsten. if you're looking for a ring with another logo, check them out; i found at least two that would be good for people on my list. 

6. how about a fused glass tray? $38 USD at jamie burress, an edgy shop with an eclectic mix of glass items. fused penis pin, anyone?

7.  we're back at lenny mud for a third time and this time it's for this great spock travel mug. it's only $20 USD and on my own etsy favourites list. 

8. bright, useful and a great gift for the grown-up geek on your list: set of embroidered towels for $30 USD at scooters sewing shenanigans

9. your beer-drinking geek will dig this captains pint set. it's $40 USD at mc etching.

10. and finally, we have this great upcycled journal or sketchbook going for $22 USD at meow kapow retro wares and art. check out this shop for almost four-hundred geektastic listings.

25 Days of Etsy Christmas Gifts. Day Four: Leather Love

...or does "a love for leather" sound less chaps, harness and ball gag? either way, here are ten suggestions for beautifully handcrafted leather holiday gifts from etsy.com. 

***occupy christmas and buy from artisans and small businesses, folks!***

1. i'm actually thinking of buying one of these leather rose rings, myself. at $13 USD, it's perfect for a small budget or as a stocking stuffer. leather e offers a nice selection of pretty, leather jewelry and hair accessories so take a moment to check out the whole shop!

2. this personalized leather journal makes me want to pick up a pen and write just about anything. codice, a shop based in spain offers this custom book for 48 EUR (about $63 USD) among its small but lovely collection of handcrafted gifts. 

3. over at lifetime creations, i came across this simple and stylish personalized leather flask for $19.95 USD. 

4. if you're looking for something original, handcrafted, wearable and made of leather, i daresay you might hit the jack pot with this lovely obi inspired belt. i'm really digging smplianwi's colourful, boho vibe. you can get this belt for 25 EUR but take a second to peruse this dutch shop, if you like this style because you might find something else you love, too!

5. heading over to tel aviv, israel, i'm really loving justlena's fun, colourful, eclectic jewelry selection. check out this beautiful braided, turquoise leather cuff for just $21 USD.

6. based in los angeles, charman shop is a small store that joined etsy in august of this year. they're small, colourful collection is quite eye-catching and i'm sure that when i pop in again, in a few months, more people will have caught on to them! for the list, i'll suggest their black, carved women's wallet that is priced at a very reasonable $55 USD. 

7. this tooled leather feather bookmark, tucked into a stocking or added to a great book, is the perfect gift for the avid reader on your list! it is currently the only item in leather and copper's shop but a look at feedback and chelsea brendle's bio should reassure you. 

8. i also really like this simple and classic brown and cognac camel leather tote. it's $92 USD and comes from rutinet, a great shop in israel. check out her selection of bags because if you don't like this one, the styles are quite varied and you might come across something else you like more. 

9. check out these awesome leather fortune cookie stocking stuffers! at only $5 USD a pop, you can order a few or check out the other items up for grabs at nate made goods. i'm really loving the leather bow tie he's made, too!

10. and finally, for the harry potter lover on your list, i highly recommend this adjustable, "i solemnly swear that i am up to no good" bracelet. i found this on cjohannesen studio for $34 USD, along with loads of other great gift ideas--- go have a look at this shop!
